Guided tours

Tours for groups, all year

By prior arrangement, tours of the house and grounds led by our experienced guides, on days when the Hall is not otherwise open, or in the morning or evening of a public day.

By prior arrangement only, tours of the house and grounds, led by our experienced guides, are offered throughout the year when we are not otherwise open to visitors; even on days when we are open to the general public, private tours can be arranged in the morning or evening. The tour itself takes about 1½ hours. In addition, time can be allowed for a visit to our gift shop, or for refreshments or a light meal in the Summer Parlour and an opportunity to relax in the gardens.

The layout of the house requires that individual tour groups are limited to a maximum of 25 persons but it is possible to run up to three separate tours concurrently.

Refreshments

Again with advance notice, we can provide refreshments to accompany your visit. Please discuss your precise requirements (from tea and biscuits to a three course light lunch) when you book your tour and we will give you a quotation of the exact price.

Our licence allows visitors to bring their own alcoholic drinks for consumption on the premises but not to permit its sale. No corkage is charged.
